With lakes, woodland, open fields and miles of walking trails, Priory Country Park is somewhere your dog could happily spend hours exploring. There are plenty of routes to choose from, meaning no two walks have to be the same, and there’s enough open space to burn off even the most energetic spaniel or Labrador.
Just don’t expect to leave without muddy paws if it’s been raining.
Bedford Embankment
Sometimes the simplest walks are the best.
The Embankment offers beautiful views along the River Great Ouse and is perfect for a leisurely stroll before stopping for a coffee. Head further along the riverside and you’ll find quieter stretches where both you and your dog can escape the hustle and bustle of the town centre.
It’s one of Bedford’s greatest assets, and it’s right on our doorstep.
Bedford Park
Looking for somewhere close to town?
Bedford Park is ideal for an after-work walk or a weekend wander. Wide open spaces, tree-lined paths and plenty of other friendly dogs make it one of the town’s most popular green spaces.
Fair warning though—your dog may insist on saying hello to every other dog they meet.
