Interchange Retail Park is one of Bedford’s main out-of-town shopping destinations, located on Ampthill Road in Kempston, just off the A421. With more than 14 well-known high-street brands alongside cafés and restaurants, it offers a convenient place to shop without needing to head into Bedford town centre.
The retail park has a useful mix of stores covering fashion, sports, footwear, homeware, beauty and everyday essentials. Popular retailers include TK Maxx, Matalan, Next, Sports Direct, JD Sports, Clarks, Boots and Pets at Home, making it a practical choice whether you have something specific to buy or simply want to browse.
Food and drink are also well represented, with options including Nando’s, McDonald’s, Costa Coffee and Cook. This makes it easy to combine shopping with lunch, a coffee break or a quick meal, particularly if you are spending several hours at the retail park.
One of the biggest advantages of Interchange is its accessibility by car, with a large amount of free customer parking and a location close to the A421 and A6. Its position on the southern side of Bedford also makes it particularly convenient for visitors travelling into the town from surrounding areas.
For families, the range of shops makes Interchange useful for everything from children’s clothing and footwear to toys, sports equipment and pet supplies. Boots also provides step-free access, accessible parking and parent-and-child parking spaces, adding to the practical nature of the destination.
Whether you are looking for a new outfit, picking up household essentials, browsing discounted brands at TK Maxx or simply want somewhere convenient to shop and eat, Interchange Retail Park offers plenty of choice in one location. It is a straightforward and useful shopping destination for both Bedford residents and visitors to the area.
